About Us

welcome to Kate Colson Podcast

Hi there, I’m Kate Colson, and at 52 years old, I am a proud neurodivergent, spiritual empath, highly sensitive person who has transformed life’s challenges into a powerful mission. I am the creator of “Authentic Warrior Goddesses”

My early years were shaped by the relentless pressure to be perfect in a family where achievement was everything. Raised by a father with a doctorate degree and a high-status career, alongside high-achieving siblings, I faced an additional hurdle with undiagnosed Attention Deficit Disorder. School became a battleground where I was misunderstood as lacking intelligence or willfulness. However, my true brilliance emerged in areas such as in spirituality, compassion, empathy, art, creativity, writing, and music.

people pleaser

To cope, I became a “people pleaser,” adapting like a chameleon to seek approval. At times, I even fell ill just to garner attention. Despite my accomplishments, a constant undertow of not being good enough persisted. Flashbacks from childhood abuse led to mental health challenges, trapping me in destructive habits.

transformative turn

But my story takes a transformative turn. Armed with two master's degrees in mental health and decades of experience, I sought help from my higher power, therapists, coaches and I experienced a spiritual awakening including a personal experience with Jesus. Through this journey, I realized I had played the family scapegoat, internalizing dysfunction, and embracing a victim mentality. This realization fueled my mission. I overcame addiction and found my own voice.

philosophy

In my philosophy, everyone is born complete and whole, with the same inherent value and worth. I acknowledge the challenges posed by parents and society but see them as opportunities for growth and evolution. Being oneself, I believe, is a gift to the world – a celebration of uniqueness as part of the universal consciousness.
